You're in for a Treat

The Camden Assembly, or Barfly as it's still fondly known, (49 Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8AN) is a definite place to head to if you're keen on hearing top bands before they become big names. Coldplay, The Strokes and Elbow to name a couple have appeared playing live music in London. O2 Academy Islington (Angel Central, N1 Centre, 16 Parkfield St, Islington N1 0PS) hosts indie bands and a fair few singer songwriters. In the past Def Leppard, Horace Andy, and the Kooks have performed here. Ronnie Scotts (47 Frith St, Soho, W1D 4HT) is London's legendary jazz club, with Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis among a list of hundreds of brilliant jazz artists having played here. If jazz is your thing, you must visit Ronnie Scotts, just be prepared to pay an entrance fee and top prices for your drinks. Roundhouse (Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8EH) isn't just a place for great live music in London, it's also a community trust using art and music to help people in the area. The likes of Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Bob Dylan and a host of many more have performed here. Make sure you buy your tickets in advance.
