You're in for a Treat

A popular live music Paris hangout is La Feline (6 Rue Victor Letalle), a tiny bar where glam meets grunge. The rock bar is no dive; people here are dressed to kill and the music is decent as well. You might even catch a burlesque show there. Le Caveau de la Huchette (5 Rue de la Huchette) was once a meet up for the Knights Templar and the Masons - look out for the swords on the wall - but now it’s a spot for live jazz, and it’s pretty good, too. Le China (50 Rue de Charenton) is a stylish cocktail bar (and Chinese restaurant) which specialises in not specialising. It doesn’t have a particular genre of live music, Paris’ eclectic tastes love the different music each night. La Flèche d’Or (102 rue de Bagnolet) was once the bar for live music Paris had to offer. It was notorious for getting closed down and reopening, but now it’s changed its tack and is only open for concerts. The old train station is still a popular haunt, though, and tickets sell out fast.
