You're in for a Treat

You haven’t enjoyed French candy until you’ve gobbled up a calisson or two. Calissons are a smooth, pale yellow candy made out of fruit (particularly melons and oranges), with a dash of ground almonds and a thin layer of royal icing on top. Calissons feel like gentle marzipan in your mouth, but with a fruitier, richer edge. Small and almond shaped, it’s hard to stop at just one. Very French, the majority are still only found in the Provence region.
