You're in for a Treat

This is one of London's gems. You can truly escape the city by jumping on the District Line to Kew Gardens. Inside you'll find orchard glass houses, a water garden, Queen Charlotte’s Cottage (not open in winter) and a whole host of other amazing attractions. Of course summer months are superb because you can have picnics in the gardens, but in autumn you are surrounded by magnificent colours, spring brings the blossoming of flowers and winter has a harsher atmosphere but the temperate glass houses seem like a true haven. Within each glass house there is a different selection of flora and fauna, which are like a labyrinth to explore. Elsewhere, you can enter the Hive which imitates the life of bees and walk along the Treetop Walkway for great views down into Kew Gardens. It’s best to arrive in the morning or early afternoon to get the full value your ticket. (£14 or free if your GlobeGo host has a Friend’s of Kew Garden membership).
