Le Jardin du Musee Rodin

You're in for a Treat

Stretching over three hectares, the grounds of Le Jardin du Musée Rodin will captivate you with a rose garden, a large ornamental garden, and a relaxation area hidden behind a terrace and hornbeam hedge. It’s the perfect place for a serene or romantic walk. Two thematic trails are laid out: the lush plant-filled path through the rockery in the Garden of Orpheus, and the water-filled Garden of Springs. It is not surprising that the garden of the great sculptor Rodin has man-made delights to complement the bucolic oeuvre. The rose bushes by the building lead to the La Porte de l'Enfer (The Door of Hell). Just beyond this is the Galerie des Marbes (the Marble Gallery), a glass-walled and weather-beaten structure sheltering marble sculptures. Inside you can gaze at the Monument to Victor Hugo. Follow the rose bushes along the right side of the building to find Rodin's famous work, Le Penseur (The Thinker). This walk is the perfect blend of art and nature.
