You're in for a Treat

Ever wondered what the interior of British houses from 1600 look like? Now is your chance to find out. The Geffrye Museum covers 400 years of intriguing house interiors with interesting facts about each period in time. You can see a dining room from the 1700s and look at the changes between that and the next room, 50 years later. The room designs stretch right up until this century. The Geffrye Museum is really well presented and the building itself is in beautiful almshouses from the 1700s (designed for poor and sick people who could live there rent-free). There is cute library area which looks out over the gardens, where you can sit in summer and enjoy a cake or coffee from the café. Free entry.
