You're in for a Treat

Everyone knows Harrods, but Fortnum and Mason was here long before Harrods came on the scene. It was the shop that the upper class bought their Christmas hampers from and Fortnum and Mason has a superb range of quintessentially English tea and biscuits. The hampers are still going strong, but one of the most expensive Fortnum and Mason hampers will set you back £550. The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon at Fortnum and Masons offers an expensive, but nice, afternoon tea, while the Gallery is the department store’s restaurant. It also has a cocktail bar, the 3 and 6 Bar which has an extensive list for you to choose from. The most impressive part of Fortnum and Mason, though, isn’t inside but outside. The window displays are so impressive you can stand staring at them for a good length of time. The Christmas displays are worth visiting even if you have no intention of going inside!
