You're in for a Treat

If you’re looking for a strong tasting, distinctly French liquor, then try a dash of pastis. Pastis is an anise-flavoured spirit with less than 100 grams of sugar per litre. It must also have 40–45% alcohol by volume. The anise flavour is given an extra bite with the addition of liquorice root. Pastis has been popular in France since it was first sold widely by Paul Ricard, and you’ll likely find it in being drunk in glasses across Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) and the Var department. Ricard and Pernod are two of the most famous brands. Try a bottle and recreate the experience of wining and dining at an authentic French restaurant.
